The
objective of the Self-Employment Assistance Program offered by SAJE
Montréal Centre is to promote self-employment by encouraging the
unemployed to find a new vocation in working for themselves.

CRITERIA
FOR PROGRAM ADMISSIONS
To
participate in the Self-Employment Support Program, you must :

Be receiving employment insurance |
| »
|
Have received employment insurance during the last
3 years |
|
»
|
Be
receiving employment assistance |
| »
|
Have
a low or no income |
| »
|
Be living or intending to start a business in one of the areas
covered by the SAJE Montréal Centre
|

CRITERIA
FOR PROJECT ADMISSIBILITY
To
benefit from the Self-Employment Support Program offered
by SAJE Montréal Centre, the participant must
:

a new business or acquire an existing business in which they
have never owned a stake

Create a new business in one of the following designated

SERVICES
OFFERED
The
Self-Employment Assistance Program offered by the SAJE Montréal
Centre provides participants with technical and financial support
comprised of: :

evaluation of the project by a consultant |

Coaching the participant from the pre-start-up phase, to
the actual start-up through individual counselling |
| » |
Financial
support in the form of a subsidised bi-weekly salary of
292$ for a period of 52 weeks provided by Emploi-Québec |

Group
training to draft a business plan |
| » |
A monthly follow-up of your business activities for a
period of two years |
| » |
Free
membership for a year to 'Group SYNAXIS', an information
network for entrepreneurs |
