JEUNES PROMOTEURS PROGRAM
OBJECTIVES AND PARTERS
The
objective of the Jeunes Promoteurs Program offered by the SAJE Montréal
Centre is to encourage entrepreneurship amongst young people aged
18 to 35.
The program provides :

Technical
assistance in preparing a business plan
|
|
Financial
aid in the form of a non-repayable subsidy up until the
amount of $6000 per entrepreneur, and for a maximum of 2 entrepreneurs
per project |

CRITERIA
FOR ADMISSIBILITY
1.
Eligibility for the program requires that the entrepreneur must
:

Be
between the age of 18-35 (inclusive) |
| »
|
Be a Canadian Citizen, a landed immigrant or a
permanent resident of Quebec |
| »
|
Ideally possess relevant work experience or training with reference
to the business proposal |
| »
|
Be
committed to working full-time for the proposed business
|
| »
|
Be
setting up either his first or second business
venture (without having received prior financial aid from the
Jeunes Promoteurs Program) |
| »
|
Be
living in or intends to set-up the business in one of the
following areas : |

Eligible projects :

Must
be innovative and original. |
| » |
The
applicant must produce a business plan, which covers the first
two years of business operation. |

The venture must create 2 full-time employment positions (one
of which is for the entrepreneur). |
| » |
The
financial outlay of the entrepreneur must match the subsidy
obtained. |
| » |
The
subsidy must be indispensable to the start up of the business |
SERVICES
OFFERED
The
Jeunes Promoteurs Program offered by SAJE Montréal Centre has three
possible parts (A, B and C). The selection criteria for each of
these parts is summarised in the table below:

The project is innovative and original
»
The project aims to introduce a new product or service into
a new market |
»Completion
of a business plan covering the first two years of operation
»
Creation of 2 full-time jobs (including of one for the entrepreneur)
»
The subsidy must be necessary to the start up of the business |
»
The training is relevant to the sector of activity of the venture
and to its management
»
The training must be pre-authorised
»
The training must be followed within 2 years of the start-up
by the entrepreneur |
Application
to Jeunes Promoteurs Program
If you already have a business plan :
Drop off a copy of your business plan at the SAJE Montréal
Centre.
A consultant will arrange a meeting with you so as :

To
evaluate your project ;
»
Help make modifications to your business plan (if necessary) ;
»
Explain how to apply to the Jeunes Promoteurs Program.
If
you don't have a business plan :
Contact SAJE Montréal Centre and ask for the questionnaire
entitled Project Summary. After completing the questionnaire, drop
it off at the SAJE Montréal Centre.
A consultant will then arrange an appointment with you so as :

Check the eligibility of the venture ;
»
And help you to create a business plan
- if your application meets and satisfies the selection criteria.
